  1. Ur blog is FANTASTIC!!! Ur house looks great!! we are also about to start building the Parkhill!!! would love to know if all the allowances claredon gave you were enough for all your finishings e.g. electricity, landscape, flooring

  2. Thank you d, yes we are very excited as handover is only 8 sleeps away 🙂 The Parkhill is a great design, good luck with your build. The Clarendon sales rep was pretty close to the mark with his allowances but of course there are things which are not included for example if you choose to go above the standard offerings in the way of bathroom tiles, splashbacks, kitchen, doors, tapwear carpet upgrades etc. Our site costs blew out also as we had an issue with a tree and sewer had to be moved. I can tell you that the final cost was over $60k more than what we thought we were up for after our first meeting with sales rep and initial 1K deposit and over $120K from the advertised house price. 60K is not too bad really the house looks good, put it this way you can spend less or alot more. Just stick to your budget as much as you can, its so easy to get carried away. If you would like to know any particular costs – let me know.
